A: 8 rounds of golf, Four 30-minute group lessons, one range session, a goodie bag on opening day containing some golf balls, tees, and ball markers, and player's cost for the banquet, which includes food and end-of-year awards.
A: Swansea Country Club does a great job instructing the kids and will help them get started. We have also created a system where individual accomplishments can help the kids earn points for their team.
A: Yes, but in order to keep things fair for all the parents, we ask that at least one parent volunteer keep score for their son/daughter’s group (volunteer twice for the season) and to keep the pace of play moving. Parents can coordinate with the team manager to set up a signup list/schedule.
A: The scoring system is easy to follow, and the league will provide instruction to the parents on how to keep score and help the kids move along safely.
A: No. Part of the sport of golf is walking the course. Parents may ride in carts (you may have to pay a cart fee yourself) but ALL players must walk the 9 holes. Pull carts are welcome to be used by the players.
A: The rates are so reasonable that your child will still benefit by participating in the other weeks.
A: An inexpensive starter set of clubs can be obtained online or at a sporting goods store.
